We are less than 100 miles away!
We are still on track to arrive at sunrise. We continue to slow the boat down with two reefs in the main and a jib furled to about ½ size. Going to fast will get us there in the pitch dark, and we don't want that.
Everyone onboard is getting exciting to be there, talking about being on land, walking and eating food and ice cream! Oh, and being on a boat that isn't bouncing all about (although some of the anchorages here can be rolly...)
Its going to be our final night of night watches. We expect to pick the island up on radar 3 or 4 hours before we arrive. I think most of us will be up early to watch our approach and get that first glimpse of LAND!
Of course all of this depends on whether or not I have navigated correctly.
Have I???
