Lies and More Lies!!

The South Pacific Sailing brochure is full of LIES! Warm trade winds. LIES! Relaxing downwind sailing. LIES! Sunny skies with white puffy clouds. LIES! Time to read books, relax and enjoy the best sailing conditions of your life. LIES! Star filed nights with warm ocean breezes. LIES!

We passed the 500 mile mark at about 11 this morning. We still have gusty, COLD winds and very confused seas. We are just hanging on for the ride! But even given the uncomfortable conditions all onboard are in good spirits and excited to have left the dock and be out in the open sea, even if the sea is a bit angry…

Oh, and we knew not to believe that brochure. You just can’t trust marketing people!

And just an update on last night, nothing broke. We did kill on flying fish and one squid though!
