Come Sail to the South Pacific with US!
Sunny skies, consistent warm trade winds, brilliant blue ocean with gentle rolling swells, easy sailing under a full spinnaker, dolphins swimming alongside the boat, star filled nights…Live the DREAM!
Well, it finally happened. We have lived the promise of the brochure. We had near PERFECT conditions today. We shut off the motor after running it for two days straight, and we crossed through the doldrums and Intertropical Convergence Zone to arrive in the south east trade winds of the southern hemisphere.
We had about 10 knots of wind and the spinnaker flying most of the day. The batteries are full from the sunshine and we are heading straight to Nuku Hiva, Marquesas. And we did get joined by a pod of dolphins today! Our first sighting of them since our first night out.
The only thing we were missing is catching a fish! Chris and David have been trying for days now with no luck. We had a good bite this afternoon, but it quickly got away with all of Chris’s line due to a poorly tied knot. Well, at least we know they are biting, so we will keep trying.
We are forecasted to have nice winds for the next couple of days and plan to make landfall late Sunday afternoon. That will be a GLORIOUS moment!
Thanks for following us! We feel your prayers and support!
