24 Hour Update

We have now spent 24 hours at sea. Everyone onboard is doing well, including our dog, Catalina! We covered 170 nautical miles and averaged just over 7 knots, which is great speed. Based on the increased wind strength right now I think we may go a bit further in the next 24 hours. The seas are a bit lumpy so we are bouncing around quite a bit, but that is to be expected.

The wind got stronger this morning hours so we put two reefs in our mainsail. It made the ride much smoother and only dropped our speed a bit. The boat is performing well and no one is seasick, so that is all good!
